چکیده

The biggest challenge for scientists is to create an ideal wound dressing that should be non-toxic, biocompatible, and biodegradable, providing optimal conditions the most effective regeneration process. Biomaterials loaded with plant-derived compounds show better biocompatibility biological properties, ensuring a faster tissue repair In order develop membranes good mechanical properties anti-bacterial objective of this work describes synthesis chitosan-based membrane added olive leaf extract as active principle potential topical application. material developed was characterized in terms morphology, physical, chemical, capacity membranes. results indicated has use dressing, it presented (30.17 ± 8.73 MPa) fluid draining (29.31 1.65 g·m−2·h−1) adequacy. addition, antimicrobial activity analysis revealed against E. coli S. aureus reaching 9.9 mm 9.1 mm, respectively, inhibition zones, common bacteria skin wounds. Therefore, all indicate presents viable characteristics dressing.

Phenolic compounds and antimicrobial activity of olive (Olea europaea L. Cv. Cobrançosa) leaves.

We report the determination of phenolic compounds in olive leaves by reversed-phase HPLC/DAD, and the evaluation of their in vitro activity against several microorganisms that may be causal agents of human intestinal and respiratory tract infections, namely gram positive (Bacillus cereus, B. subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus), gram negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli an...

Identification and Assessment of the Potential Allergenicity of 7S Vicilins in Olive (Olea europaea L.) Seeds.

Olive seeds, which are a raw material of interest, have been reported to contain 11S seed storage proteins (SSPs). However, the presence of SSPs such as 7S vicilins has not been studied. In this study, following a search in the olive seed transcriptome, 58 sequences corresponding to 7S vicilins were retrieved. A partial sequence was amplified by PCR from olive seed cDNA and subjected to phyloge...

Pedologic Factors Affecting Virgin Olive Oil Quality of "Chemlali" Olive Trees (Olea europaea L.).

The aim of this study examined the characterization of extra virgin olive oil samples from the main cultivar Chemlali, grown in five olive orchards with different soil type (Sandy, Clay, Stony, Brown, Limestone and Gypsum). Volatile compounds were studied using headspace-solid phase micro-extraction (HS-SPME) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) technics. Moreover, the sterol profil...

Antibacterial Activity of Olive (Olea europaea )Leaves and Arugula (Eruca sativa) Seeds Extract

Crude extracts from olive leaves and arugula seeds were screened for its in vitro antibacterial activity. Antibacterial activity was determined by using disc diffusion method against three bacteria (, Staphylococcus aurous and Bacillus cereus). Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) have been determined. Gallic acid was used as a standard drug for th...
